Snowball Tossing Contest

A lot of kids don't actually like getting hit with snowballs. Neither do adults. However, the irresistable urge to throw a ball made of snow is nearly impossible to resist. So take that outdoor energy and put it to fun use by having a snowball tossing contest! Perfect for all ages, snowball tossing is a good way to practice your marksmanship with the cold white stuff. Forget the old-fashioned targets of fences, windows and the sides of the house--you can make your own target with spray bottles full of food coloring and water for great outdoor fun.

What you need: Spray bottles with water and food coloring inside (3 different colors) Snow

What you do: 1. Stomp down the snow into a rectangle shape, about 6 feet by 8 feet.

2. Spray sections of the rectangle with different colors. Each color is a point (say, 1, 5 and 10 points). Create the pattern of your choice: a checkerboard, bulls-eye or stripes.

3. Assemble 6 snowballs each and designate the throwing line.

4. Take turns tossing the snowball into the colored areas, ala horseshoes or darts.

5. Keep track of points and play until the first person reaches 50 points.

*15 Minute Moment*Think of something that you'd like to do better this year and resolve together to do it.
