I came up with these one day when I had absolutely nothing in the house for an after school snack. It has evolved into one of our favorite snacks. If I think about it, I'll get the milk in the freezer before school is out, and the kids come home and do the rest. We've also experimented with other fruits but for some reason, peaches are the best for us. We've had the most success with bananas and strawberries, but pick your favorite and go for it. Give it a try--they're great for spring, summer, fall or winter.
What you need:
1/2 c. milk 1 c. sliced peaches (fresh or canned) 1 tsp. sugar
Utensils:
Ice cube tray Blender (adult supervision required)
What you do:
1. Pour the milk into the ice cube tray and freeze them until completely solid.
2. Put the cubes into the blender, then add peaches and sugar.
3. Close blender and mix on medium speed until smooth.
4. Pour into serving containers and enjoy. (Makes 4 kid size servings or 2 extra large servings.)
