We've had a burst of really warm weather where we live, while the rest of the country is in a deep freeze. The air just has that sense of spring about it, and the kids and I have noticed that the crocuses and tulips are starting to green up and sprout. Not typical for our state, but we'll take it. To get everyone in the mood for the rapidly approaching spring, here are some of the most fun kids books that deal with the subject of spring. Read these spring books together to get everyone in the mood for springtime.

Flower Fairy Springtime Dance (Flower Fairies) by Cicely Mary Barker

It's Springtime in My Backyard by Kathy Mazur

Springtime (Let's Look at the Seasons) by Ann Schweninger

Once Upon a Springtime by Jean Marzollo and Jacqueline Rogers

Snappy Little Springtime by Derek Matthews and Dugald Steer

Springtime for Jeanne-Marie by Francoise Seignobosc

Naomi Knows It's Springtime by Virginia L. Kroll and Jill Kastner

*15 Minute Moment* Practice sequencing with your child. For example, name the family members in order from tallest to shortest, list whose birthdays come first in the year, then next and next.
