During the summer months there are many hot air balloon festivals across the world. These hot air balloon festivals typically have a bunch of beautiful hot air balloons that launch at close to the same time filling the sky with a large assortment of colors and shapes. It's a fun family outing to go and watch the hot air balloons take off and drift across the sky. While you are at the festival, here are some things you can do to make the experience more memorable:
- Take a family photo with your favorite hot air balloon.
- If hot air balloon rides are offered, take a ride as a family.
- Teach your kids about how a hot air balloon works. Have them watch the burner of a hot air balloon and see how the balloon rises after a blast from the burner. Teach them that the pilot of the hot air balloon can only control the altitude of the hot air balloon (up and down) and that the wind determines the course of the balloon.
