Banana bread is a staple at our house over the holidays. When you get full of salty ham and deli meats and just sick to death of sweets like chocolate, cookies and candy--banana bread is the perfect alternative. It's so simple to make that the kids can just dump and bake. The sweet bread smothered in butter is just the thing to cleanse that holiday-filled palate. Pumpkin bread also does the trick, but we'll save that recipe for another day. Note that using really ripe bananas make this taste extra great.
